Herman Vogler Conservation Area is a 8 mile loop trail located near Rogers City, Michigan and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is best used from June until November.
Nice way to see the fall colors. Multiple loops so you can do a short hike or spend a few hours out hiking around. Trials are easily marked with markers and map at forks in the trails. Beautiful water views as well as wetlands, and wooded trails. I would highly recommend this hike, especially for beginners and intermediate hikers. Also please note the trailhead is on the left off of birchwood drive, when you turn off of 23, the map took us farther in and the dead end street it takes you to is part of he back of the trails not the parking lot/trailhead.
Nice back woods trail that has a small lake/river. Never could figure out the 8 mile loop? But did lots of the smaller loops. It's well signed at all break points as to which way to go, would be nice to also use colors as well to mark the trails. Some have a few here and there. A little ruff where the have been foresting trees. Nice place once you figure out a route. Also nice signage on some of the trails telling you about animals and plants.
