A short, very wet, but very calm walk. My walk today was a little cold for bugs, but with all of the standing water, I'd reckon the bugs are awful. The clearing areas are amazing for bird watching, and there are some great overlooks and educational areas.

nice variety with field, woods, river, ravine, steps, hanging bridge. Somewhat limited size.

This trail was very pretty. It was marked really well and not confusing at all. The covered bridge was in a random spot off the trail. Definitely will bring bug spray next time. The majority of it was stroller friendly except the stairs, but if you have a friend who’s willing to help get the stroller up them then you’re fine!

Went for the first time and overall it was good. The weather was extremely hot and I thought the path would have been covered more but a lot more open field then I thought. I would definitely do it again. I had some bug repellent on but the horseflies were bad.

For the parents: Also thought it had great stuff for kids on the path, educational, however not stroller friendly in the woods.

For the visually gifted, the grasslands trails offer a fantastic opportunity for the ornathologically minded. Though, trail signs offer those such as myself with poor sight an audio based guide to bird songs.

As for the Grand River, it’s beauty spills right over the banks giving shins and knees a first hand look at this West Michigan aquatic wonder. If you’re willing to get a bit wet, the trail along the bank of the river is a great view.

Beautiful trail, lots of mosquitos, and plenty or birding opportunities. 8.5 out of 10

This trail is located in the Grand River flood basin, so depending on the season sections of the trails can be flooded and there are plenty of mosquitos to keep you company. That being said, this is one of my favorite trails and I have been hiking here with my son since he was about 4.

Easy hike. Still a bit muddy, but beautiful when against the grand river! Was very pretty. Different paths with different scenery. Cute park with a lake. Would go again for a quick relaxing walk in the woods.

Nice trails with a little of everything, woods, meadows, lake and river. I've hike it several times and other than a little mud and flooding in the spring, no complaints.

Beautiful wooded path meanders next to the river, through the woods and into a meadow. Option of staying on the flat path or tackling the wooded slope to head back out. Mucky and boggy in the spring and after a good rain.

Loved this trail. Very scenic with wild flowers and a good tree canopy. Easy with very little incline. A great view of the Grand River.

This is definite a choose your own adventure hike. Park is very well marked but as long as you are on county land, you can venture off the path(there is a portion that's private property with signs asking that you stay on the path). At the front of the park there is a leash free dog park which seemed to be very popular. I was able to hike all the way to the grand river and back (almost 3mi total) and experienced trails of multiple skill levels. There is paved trail, gravel trail, stairs, and cleared path. I did get a little muddy. Bonus-there are bathrooms at each end of the trail(and I think in 3 places total).

Fun and quick hike. Slight hills in areas but it's really easy. Lots of trees by the river for hammocks.

Great trails for a walk. I would recommend being wary after a hard rain. I had to turn around several times and choose a different way to avoid being ankle deep in mud and standing water. It would have been great without that. Would be nice if gravel could be added to those parts of the trails. Wasn't even able to do the river loop but it rained so much a couple days ago, it's hardly the parks fault.

this was very nice trail system. there is more than one loop so you can make your hike the maximum distance or less if desired. we hiked 3.2 and did not cover all of it. people were very friendly and curtious. plenty of parking and restrooms available. it was also well marked

Very pretty trails. The best marked trails around. There is a trail map at every intersection. The only downfall for me on this particular hike was that it was an extremely hot and humid day and a good portion of the trails are through fields with no protection from the sun.

Great trails, lots to explore and a few different loops. Worth getting off-trail and seeing the woods and nearby ravines.

Great park located on the Grand River. Offers wonderful scenery and well taken care off trails. Trail maps also give you the degree of difficulty for cross country skiing.
