Empire Bluff Trail is a 1.6 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Empire, Michigan that features a lake. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking.
This is one of my favorite hikes near Sleepy Bear. It is and out and back with an uphill on the way there which can be difficult. However, it isn't too far and it is well worth the amazing views of Lake Michigan and the dunes at the top! The forest is very pretty to walk through as well!
This is a beautiful quick hike to a breathtaking view.
Easy trail. Great view!!
This is really not an "easy" hike as there are numerous inclines. But, the view at the top is amazing and well worth the work!!
Easy hike up to the bluff ( stairs can pose a challenge for some). Beautiful views of the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Definite must.
Beautiful hike - great views - at the end of the hike if you're adventurous - slide down the dune and walk along the lakeshore to empire beach (have someone meet you there with a car or it's a long walk back to the trailhead)
Beautiful views, wonderful hike
Nice trail to hike up for views of the Sleeping Bear Dunes Shoreline. Little over 2 miles total trip. Found some old farm implements near the start of the trail. Easy hike.
