Great trail, nice views of the River, well marked, follow the blue triangles, restrooms in the parking lot were very clean

Very well maintained and clearly marked trail. Nice mix of secluded heavily wooded paths and open clear views of the Au Sable River. Plenty of parking at trail head with restrooms.

The trail is beautiful but make sure you have bug spray Midway there is a good place to sit and watch the canoes go by Ran across what I think was a Massasauga rattle snake so definitely wear shoes Also a GPS helps when the trail forks as no clear signs so downloading the trail map before hand was a great idea

Great hike. Starts out walking through the woods and finishes up along the banks of the river. I really enjoyed this hike and look forward to doing it again as the season change. Bug spray is a good idea in warm weather.

Easy hike, with lots of wildflowers along the way. I would suggest doing the sandy part first, then you finish with river views. There’s one spot that has so many ferns you’ll feel like you’re in a rainforest. More Monarch butterflies than I’ve ever seen in my life! Definitely wear pants & closed toe shoes, you’ll be walking through tall grasses during portions of the hike!

Easy trail featuring some nice views of the Au Sable. Trails are easy to follow but I suggest using a map/gps as there are few/no maps to guide you once on the trail. Make sure you bring bug spray and don’t forget to spray your shoes to prevent ticks from latching on! Lots of mosquitos, flies, ticks etc

I like that there's a little of everything. River, meadow, forest, etc... It's fairly easy to navigate, but the map on here helped as it's actually 3 trails that interconnect. Definitely great for all levels, but wear your boots and jeans!
