It was a beautiful sunny day. Even though it was only cleared for a single person to hike, we really enjoyed the trail.

The maps at this place were horrible. We didn't understand what direction we were going at all... we did see 2 bald eagles standing out on the ice together :) And Lake Eerie is foggy and beautiful. Pretty uneventful and normal walk.

We enjoyed the trails and view of Lake Erie and the marshes. We saw a lot of varities of ducks, geese, signs of beavers and I think we may have seen a pig or two off in the distance.

Looks like there are some new trail signs but they are marked incorrectly. Easy walk, partially flooded

Too washed out to complete the loop. Still enjoyed the scenery & wildlife of the accessible portions of the trail.

What I saw was beautiful but unfortunately the water was so high it cut off about 1/3 of the trail unless you had rain boots or something. Will definitely have to try again though

Overall this trail was pretty nice, seems like a good biking and walking area. As a longboard rider, I enjoyed the flat paths in the open. The only downside is that some of the trails were washed out and impassable so I got my shoes a bit trashed. Would come back again though! Just be slightly wary of your footwear choice after rainy weather.

Nearly flat trail that explores the marsh lands along the Detroit River where it empties into Lake Erie. Northern loop features some nice wooden marsh overlooks. South loop features some long boardwalks and excellent lake/river views. Good wildlife and bird viewing; I saw deer, rabbits, lots of ducks, an egret, red-winged blackbirds, and plenty of more common birds. Much of the trail is exposed to the sun, so wear a hat in the summer. Come in late July or early August to see the beautiful lotus colony in bloom. Overall, maybe the best hike in Detroit's metroparks.

The trail was a pleasant stroll with my dog. A nice hike in the fall weather with the sun out and nice views of the water. There were plenty of places to sit and enjoy the scenery. However, do not let the map fool you. The trail is located in Lake Erie Metro Park.
