This was a lovely hike. The trail was lovely, and groomed. Goes by a ton of water. Mix of shade vs no shade. Bring a LOT of water. Bring snacks too. And dry socks:)

Beautiful fun hiking trail!— This is a viticulture trail that goes by many different bodies of water including lakes, rivers, and streams. We also saw lots of wildlife on the trail and found a perfect mid day lunch spot! A couple of the bridges were partially flooded (it rained for two days before we did the trail) so we just took our boots off and walked through and it was all fine! The trail was mildly difficult to follow near the campground but this app helped a lot with that!

Great weekend hike with the dogs. The only part that was weird was when you cross the highway.... you either have to go around a barricade or over it. It's a long hike but I was happy to accomplish it.

Beautiful trail, well maintained. Fun ride

A nice fairly level trail through the Hiawatha National Forest, skirting several lakes. The trail is easy to follow and is blazed with blue markers. You can take the loop counter-clockwise by taking the trailhead on the west side of Hwy 13 (adjacent to the parking area), or clockwise by starting at the trailhead on the east side of Hwy 13, just a little south of the parking area. According to the official signage on the trail, the loop is 11.3 miles.

We did this loop the day before our backpacking trip to Pictured Rocks. We stayed the night in Pete's Campground which was part of the loop so it was incredibly convenient. The lakes were gorgeous (and plentiful) and Indian River was stunning. My Garmin watch clocked the loop and 10.86 miles via GPS tracking and the on-site trail map says 10 miles, so a bit longer than stated on AllTrails. I found the terrain to be very soft, I think it would make an excellent trail run.

Beautiful, well-marked trail ideal for hiking or biking. Trail is maintained well. Lots of lakes and streams. Few bugs in early August. Certainly worth a couple of hours if you are in the Munising area.

Highly recommended! We did Bruno's Run on our mountain bikes in about 2 hours which included several photo stops. The trail is very scenic. You'll travel beside,or on slopes above, a bunch of lakes along the route and the forest is really pretty. The trail is not flat. It undulates through the woods and has a few steeper climbs and descents. We are intermediate mountain bikers and thought this trail was a lot of fun. It has good flow to it. A beginner mountain biker will have a few challenges on this trail but will enjoy it too. Bathrooms are available at Pete's Recreation Area. (You'll ride a short section through the campground. Be on the lookout for a trail map signpost which is where the trail heads back into the forest.) You can park at the Moccasin Lake / Bruno's Run trailhead along Forest Road 13 or park at Pete's Rec. Area.

Very nice trail! Bugs were not bad. Got lost a couple times but figured it out. Definitely worth it!

This trail is beautifully scenic and fairly well marked. As another reviewer stated, it is 12 miles, not 9 or 10. We were confused a few times when the trail cut across roads, but we figured it out.

Nice scenic trail that goes by a lot of water. Was a bit squirrelly when I hiked it, still a bit of snow. So that slowed me down. Follow the blue markers!

We did this trail in October in rain and snow and it was still a great time. we had a pretty easy time staying on the trail with very few map checks.

We had a great 8 mile out and back starting at Moccasin Lake. Good trailhead location from AllTrails. Head east across across the road (NF13). That takes you to Pete’s Lake. Trail markers get a little lost but just follow the lakeshore east and look for the blue diamonds. Once your out of the campground at Pete’s the trail is very nice. Well defined and minimal elevation changes. A lot of pristine wilderness to enjoy. Have fun!

This hike is very well marked in either side of the trailheads not so much in the middle. It is 12 miles all around NOT 9.1 as stated on AlllTrails or 10 as stated on the trailhead markers. It is 12.0 miles per 2 iPhones and a Fitbit. Nice walking path by several lakes and through the woods. Not many bugs late July. Be prepared for a longer walk than advertised. We averaged about 2 mph. .

Loved this trail! There is an area where you come out the the road and in order to get to the rest of the trail you have to lift your bike over the guard rail-it's not clearly marked. We got lucky and met a couple runners that knew where it was and they guided us in the right direction. Otherwise this ride would have been 5 stars.

Lots of insects jumping into the eye even though we used insect repellent. But very beautiful.

Awesome mountain bike trail circuit of around 9 to 10 miles that goes by several lakes and streams, it is very well maintained and the trail gets changed once in a while so it is always fun to see what's different. I've ridden this one many times and still don't get sick of it. There are several camp grounds that the trail goes right through. Terrain is is sandy in spots along with many exciting climbs and descents.

Bruno's Run is a lovely day-hiking trail, accessible all year round for hiking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Passes small and larger inland lakes, follows near McKeever Cabin (rentable from the US Forest Service, crosses the outlet of Fish Lake and follows Indian River for a distance.

Better for day hiking than mtn biking. Lots of roots than make the uphills difficult and beat you up or at least slow the descents. Overall a moderate difficulty. The trail is occasionally soft and often covered w leaves. nonetheless a beautiful place to be outdoors.
