Excellent trail. Stop and see the shipwreck, lots of good rock hunting. The light house was nice and the trail beyond was beautiful.

Very nice easy hike. The trail is an access road to the light house from the parking lot. It is sand and gravel with some potholes that fill up when it rains. The sign says no pets but we ignored it because there’s another sign that says dogs allowed if on a road. The lighthouse museum is open during the summer staffed by volunteers. We met a nice retired lady from Whitehall Michigan. I think it’s only open wed thru sat. But I’m not sure. Some ice views of the waves from the trail.

Beautiful hiking in this area. The trail is very easy to follow and the views are spectacular! Can’t wait to visit again. Camping in the area is available too and well maintained. Definitely rate this trail 5 out of 5!

Really lovely section of the North Country Trail, with several foot paths down to the rocky beach. Easygoing.

An easy trail, lots of woods, but you can bushwhack to the lake, lots of mosquitoes

A great trail along the Lake Superior shoreline. The ship wrecks and lighthouse make the trail that much better. Beautiful all around.

other than the beach and the light house, this trail is not that interesting

Nice hike, plenty of places to stop and walk on the beach, and lots and lots of bugs.

It was a nice hike very tame. There were a ton of flies. Bring your deet. I think walking from the dunes to the lighthouse and then down to the shipwrecked would have berms better hike.

The stunning views of the lake and the ship wrecks along the shoreline make this one of the most interesting hikes I have ever undertaken. Hiking right down on the waters edge is the best bet to take in all the beauty of this area.
