AuSable Light Station is a 3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Grand Marais, Michigan and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is best used from May until November.
An easy trail, lots of woods, but you can bushwhack to the lake, lots of mosquitoes
A great trail along the Lake Superior shoreline. The ship wrecks and lighthouse make the trail that much better. Beautiful all around.
other than the beach and the light house, this trail is not that interesting
Nice hike, plenty of places to stop and walk on the beach, and lots and lots of bugs.
It was a nice hike very tame. There were a ton of flies. Bring your deet. I think walking from the dunes to the lighthouse and then down to the shipwrecked would have berms better hike.
The stunning views of the lake and the ship wrecks along the shoreline make this one of the most interesting hikes I have ever undertaken. Hiking right down on the waters edge is the best bet to take in all the beauty of this area.
