The beginning of the trail took us along the road for a while until we got to the mid state trail. After coming off the mid state trail, the trails in the ski slopes was 100% unavoidable mud and not marked well at all. The Mid state trail portion was great, extremely well marked and easy to follow. It’s runs along a stream so wear good shoes. We made sure to take the Midstate all the way back and liked it. Definitely a few rocky parts which we liked too. Next time we will just stick to the mid state trail. Not crowded so easy social distancing.

Great hike except for the road walk starting at Redemption Rock. At Mount Wachusett we opted to take Semuhenna Trail back to the Mid State Trail back.

Perfect day, well marked trails with lots of options... hilly in some areas ...
