Several parts were flooded. There was no way around. Water was above my hiking boots.
Crunchy and slippery from the freeze after our first snowfall this year.
Great! Several signs and beautiful views of the fall leaves over the water.
I loved it here, and the only reason I give it a 3 is because apparently you can’t have dogs there:( I came here early one morning and loved it here and decided to bring my dog here and as I was getting him out of the car a grumpy women told me to look at the sign no dogs aloud.
Nice flat walk in the woods with wide trails for social distancing. There were two points on the north side of this particular loop that were pretty flooded out. One somewhat easy to get around, the second deeper and only passable by walking over a pile of sticks. Otherwise the refuge is beautiful and we saw lots of birds. Was a 75 degree day so the bugs were also definitely out.
After all the rain it is a little muddy in some areas. To be expected at the moment! The pond is beautiful and all the birds are really active, I find them fun to watch. Bugs are starting but not bad right now. It is beautiful to see all the tress starting to bud!!! I hope you enjoy
Specifically otter valley has some great views. There are two locations in otter valley that have benches to sit and watch the water. I have seen Blue Herons, mallards, hawks, and other small birds here. A lot of bikers and hikers so if looking for wildlife, try to get there early like 7am.
A lot of this area is currently flooded and not accessible.
