The trail was pretty good. if you follow this all trail map at one point when you're on a fire road it states that you're going off course so I basically followed the arrows on the map. it took me to unexplored deep snow in the woods but I eventually got back to the main trail. if you would have followed the fire road it would have probably just made a loop and got you back on track but I was going by the off trail alarm. will definitely do this trail again. there is about five cars in the parking lot when I came.

Great!

A technical trail along a trickling creek That diverts to a fire road or so it seems A climb up a hill among the pine Gee, wish I’d brought that bottle of wine.

Pretty hike along the brook. Water was a little low (because of the 2020 drought). Kids enjoyed the rock scrambles in the brook.

Nice mix of scenery. We started at the Damon Pond parking (free while Covid) and walked along the very pretty brook. The road is right there, but cars were few and far between so not an issue. Then headed uphill away from the brook into more pine and drier conditions. We took a few trails to stay off the dirt road as much as possible, definitely worth it.

One of our favorite local hiking spots, dog friendly (keep your pups on a leash!!) moderate when doing the loop toward the end. Down the brook all the way to the double diamond trail and back is about 2 miles if you don’t want to do the upper part of the loop. VERY buggy make sure to bring your big spray!

Went with my family, which included my kids ages 3 & 5, and had great time. We enjoyed cool off and taking a break in the creek on the trail.
