Just an update. I am one of the ranger here at West Hill. Due to safety reasons and changing boundary areas with private property owners along this loop trail we have had to close the northern section of this trail. Signs are posted on the east and west sides of the trail. We have begun clearing two new loop sections of the trail that will allow further access to the interior of the forest on a Red blazed trail on the west side (left side of the map) of the former loop trail and an Orange blazed loop on the east side (right side of the map) of the former loop trail. We will be posting new maps and signs soon.

Nice wooded area with variable terrain. It is moderate for an MTB. In warmer months there are a good deal of hikers and dog walkers so be cautious and control your speed. Some of the single tracks can be technical due to exposed roots. Usually a decent workout.

I would change rating to "easy" being that it was flat. Not a fan of having to walk a stretch on road with very fast traffic going by. Reconnects to forest trail. There were some interesting stone foundations . I can only rate this a 3

Nice, well kept trails. Signs need improvement. Friendly staff. Encountered some nice birds and a black snake when we went exploring off trail. Will come back and try some other trails. We had fun !!
