Nice trail. Fairly smooth for large sections. A few trees still down across the far end, but recent evidence of trail maintenance. Enjoyable elevation change and nice breeze off the water on the lower end. Almost a mile is “hiked” on the paved park roads.

Nice trail throughout Wells state park. Close to home and convenient. Many trails intersecting. No overlook on Walker mountain but you can tell that you are elevated. Quiet on a misty day.

A nice trail. Part of it is on paved camp roads, part on a wide trail, part on narrow trails. For a short while you are right near the highway, but for the most part it was quiet.

pretty easy loop with some elevation. this trail gets right up against the highway so I recommend doing it as an out and back and skip walking on the road. there is a cut through about 1/3 of a mile in on the right that connects to the south trail...so we use it as a warmup before doing the 4 mile n/s loop.

Pretty easy trail. Most of it’s a walk on paved rd. I went clockwise. Of the best part would have to be close to the Mass pike! The other loops are much better.

great winter hike. a bit icey today but it is February. You can stay on the paved camp roads for sure footed walking or hike around the snow covered trails. ice grippers recommend.

Very nice trail. It was a pretty easy hike, I’d probably say it’s more of a walk; but either way, it was nice with some great views of Walker Pond. And surprisingly, there were not many bugs so we didn’t even need repellant. We’ll definitely do it again.

Fun trail! Would say more light than moderate, but still a nice way to end the day!

Wells trails are great; clearly marked, maintained, and fun. Lots of scenic views with the frozen lake and ice fishing to trail paths with no footprints. It was only 11 degrees, but worth it.
