I hiked this trail with my husband, my 9 and 7-year-old sons, and our 1-year-old Goldendoodle. It was on the easier end of moderate, and we all had a great time! On the way back we took a slightly different trail, albeit longer, to avoid the steepest stretch of Harrington, which might be have been tough going down with the pup.

loved this trail, long and pretty flat to start then nice climb up some big and rocky cliffs.

Crowded trail, but a great workout especially near the top!

Great little hike, great to bring dogs on too! Starting in the wild life sanctuary made the walk really enjoyable and it wasn't until we got close to the summit that we started seeing a lot more people. At the end we took a detour because of too many crowds, but overall it was a great route.

Definitely work on your glutes and quads at the gym several months before attempting this death march. Not recommended for Covid bods.

Beautiful trail! Easy hike for the first 3/4 then it gets very steep and rocky. There’s a nice, .1 mile side trail to a small wind farm with two giant windmills. The top has great views- it would be gorgeous in fall. Popular destination so lots of people at the top, but the Harrington trail itself wasn’t crowded, even at noon on a Saturday.

This trail is not for young kids or big dogs! We had a tough time toward the top where it’s really rocky and steep. I had my 8yo and my golden shepherd and they both had a tough time. The great part is we met up with the access road to finish up the hike to the top and used it to get halfway down the mountain thanks to some really nice hikers. It was still a great day and a fun adventure.

I would recommend Harrington trail if your looking for a good workout and it’s actually my first time hiking I do exercise often so i enjoyed the hike very much. If bugs aren’t your thing I would wear a head net if not expect bugs in your face ! Lol but other than that awesome experience

This was a fun trail. Probably great for kids. You start past the wind farm. The wind turbines make a cool noise. Sort of ominous as you walk past in the woods. Near the top I missed a turn and ended up on Mountain House Trail. In doing so, avoided the steep ending to Harrington. This is much easier compared to West Side Trail.

Great hike. Little muddy in patches but mostly manageable. As others have said pretty easy till the rock scramble just before the summit. Bit of a bottleneck at the moment with people moving up and down and trying to maintain social distance. Everyone was mindful and respectful of distancing though. Summit very busy most of the rest of the trail pretty quiet. Wouldn't bring an inexperienced dog through the scramble but rest should be fine. Few bugs on first really nice day of the year 5/3

Nice short trail with a little elevation gain at the end. It was quite busy on a Saturday towards the upper part of the trail closer to the summit and sadly lots of people on the trail were not practicing social distancing and were not wearing masks so be careful
