Upper Charles River Reservation is a 2.1 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Auburndale, Massachusetts that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until December. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Not much to look at but still a nice flat easy trail. The very end of the trail along the river and by the pond is very nice.
Nice little area, had some twists and hills here and there. Kind of buggy but not a big deal.
Nice easy walk. Fair number of joggers with no masks, also kids at the playground halfway, some wearing masks and some not.
So many trees down today. Lots of scramble through the woods.
So glad we found this gem. It's a well-maintained, flat, and wide path that allows you access and views of the Charles. It's nice that they have right-of-way signs on one part of the trail during COVID. There's also decently ample parking at the start of the trailhead.
Nice easy walk/hike. Saw dogs on the trail. Very nice fall foliage and close to the water.
Trailhead was easy to find. Trail was very nice- very pretty. Mostly well groomed dirt, but some tree roots coming through. Trail is not continuous from this point (near Marriott) - it breaks up, then resumes, with some houses/offices in between. Although trailhead was easy to find, following the trail was not. I got lost in one of the neighborhoods.
