It was a decent trail. Even on a dry day pretty slippery though with pine needles and leaves. Trails well marked and easy to navigate. A nice view at Tipping rock, everything that was expected.

Could have used a few more markers but otherwise it was great. Even with all the leaves the trails were obvious. Be careful of your ankles though, with the leaves though, lots of rocks and tree roots.

This should be marked as easy. Really short and flat. Only a few steps up at tipping rock, but before you know it you are on the top.

Very diverse trail as far as the number of trails and the intensity. MUCH appreciated outhouses which were open for use! We were extremely surprised about discovering the Small Pox burial ground near Legion Hall. It does get crowded after 11. We saw all sorts of fungi! There were 3 dogs off-leash but close to their owners. As far as the dog situation: There was some dog poop right on the edge of the trail near one of the bridges which my friend nearly stepped in.

Trail varies from wide sandy areas to narrow rocky paths. Although the parking lot was pretty full, we only met people near to top. Great view that makes you feel like you are further from civilization than you are.

Sunrise hike with most direct path to Tippling Rock. Less than 20 minutes from parking lot to sunrise views at Tippling Rock.

Date: Early July Walk Time - To Summit: 30 minutes - Back Down: 30 minutes - Total: About 1 hour Pros - Great View - Not too steep, gradually rises as you walk - Lots of different plants (Oak and Pine Trees, Tall Grass, Ferns, Even Blueberry Bushes) Cons - Buggy (Almost inevitable in any woodsy trail) - Not very well-marked, make sure you keep looking at the AllTrails map to stay on the right path - Some parts have tall grass in the way, it can become a tick hotspot Final Thoughts - Great trail, great view, but could definitely have more signs telling you which trails are which. I recommend this trail.

New favorite spot! Am happy I was wearing a headband however as I wound up using it to cover my ears to keep the bugs out :/ otherwise perfect mix of easy and moderate with a wee view of Boston (like 3 buildings haha) at tipping rock.

1 hour trail. Easy on the knees with 1 good viewpoint. Parking was a bit of a hassle on the Saturday evening we went, with all the families camping at this place. Lots of kids and families, near the cabins, in the initial section of the trail near Monsun. Much more peaceful and serene after that.

Nice property but very sad to see someone split the Tippling Rock. Apparently this was done some time ago, local farmers were supposedly worried about their cows getting crushed by the "tippy erratic". They cleaved it twice, very sad. Perhaps the scout brass thought it was dangerous for the summer scouts? Either way, a very sad situation.
