Great hike, mostly flat and easy going. We went during winter and some areas were very, very icy. so take extra precautions in these conditions.

Really nice place with very wide trails and well marked. Got in 6,700 steps but could have easily hit 10,000 if we did the “Volunteer Trail” in addition to the main trail loop. This would be a great place to take a picnic and just sit by one of the wetlands. Check to see if it is open before heading there. Apparently the Audubon Society thinks there is not enough space to social distance here, which is absolutely crazy given the size of the place and very wide trails. I give the place itself very high marks, but very disappointed in the Audubon Society for their response in this crisis.

A really nice trail if you're looking for something flat in a serene environment. Changes by the season. I've hiked in all seasons and Spring is gorgeous as the colors emerge and the birds are abundant.

Was. Pleasantly surprised with all the openness this sanctuary had to offer. Beautiful open fields, large boulders randomly placed ... which you knew was authentic. Small streams of water meandering through the marshes. I enjoyed the simplicity of the naturalness I found with this hike. I did go off the beaten path and happy I did. I came upon small trickling waterfalls and magnificent views of shadowing branches on the rivers and ponds . Pace was easy and pretty straightforward. I’ll be back in the fall. I’m sure the colors of the maple and oak trees will be phenomenal.
