This one is officially in Kingston but right on the Plymouth border and very close to the Russell and Sawmill Pond Conservation Area, making it a nice “add on” to that shorter trail. This place is so pretty! The trails are well maintained but lots of tree roots and some areas are muddy and/or a little steep, so wear appropriate footwear. The trail goes around a nice pond and also features a fish ladder and a couple of little foot bridges. A father and son were fishing there (the only other people there when we went) and caught some herring. We also saw plenty of turtles and ducks. Got in about 2,500 steps. Be sure to wear bug spray for this one as there are marshy areas.

Late in day hike, peaceful & calm. Met a couple of fisherman. Trail in good condition & circles around pond. Not muddy, too windy for bugs today. A lovely but quick hike!

The bridges has been replaced with some very nice plank bridges. There are nice side trails in the woods above the pond to extend your walk. Also the outlet trail along the fish ladder and outlet stream is interesting.

Aside from a couple of questionable footbridges over water that seem to be made out of loose sticks, I loved this trail!! Those bridges didn't seem safe to me though!

Lovely, serene pond loop with wildlife galore. Turtles, water snakes (watch your step!), amphibians, pond monsters (otters) and fish and small mammals abound on this short hike. A hidden gem.
