A good early morning hike through the woods. It is a decent workout but as other reviews have mentioned bugs are a nuisance. The trail is in need of some maintenance. Make sure you also visit the adjacent Shaker village.

Overall, a nice hike through the woods. As mentioned in other reviews, it is buggy, muddy and overgrown in spots, and the signage is a bit confusing at times. I can totally deal with those issues, but I really didn't like sharing parts of the trail with ATV's and motorcycles. Also, there was no summit (at least I didn't find one) which was disappointing, and the "waterfall" was a bit underwhelming.

EXTREMELY buggy. Normally I am used to bugs but they wouldn’t leave us alone even after we bathed in bug spray. It’s a nice trail but no good views, just a loop through the woods

ATTN: DO NOT ENTER THE PRIVATE PROPERTY! My son and I went for a hike on a rainy day but it was lovely and lots of flies. We spent about 40 minutes trying to find the entrance of the park which is not marked well. We ended up on private property with marked signs of no trespassing. The entrance of the trail is 50 feet before the private property. We only went halfway in because of the rain, I loved the scenery and the quietness and it was enough to really enjoy a beautiful afternoon.

3 of us ventured out to get to the summit. Unfortunately,we go a bit lost. 2 dirt bike riders got us going in the right direction towards the rt. 20 parking lot, near Hancock Village where we parked. Total hike for the day, over nine miles. Never got to the summit, but we all agreed super hike. We will hike these trails again, this time with a map, lol. Don't forget bug spray

Lovely wooded hike. Quite buggy, so definitely come with bug spray. Some parts are overgrown with ferns and other plants, but markings are relatively clear. The summit is just a clearing, so not much for views, and it was quite muddy in parts, but it had recently rained the week prior. Overall a great hike if you're looking to get out and move for an hour or two.

AllTrails stopped when I stopped to take pictures and I could not start it again. Finished the whole loop, 5.2 miles in about 1 hour 10 minutes. It was warm and very humid. My shirt down to the first few inches of my pants were soaked through.

This trail has some challenging uphill portions that were just the right speed to push me to some cardio exercise. It was beautiful and peaceful. We barely encountered anyone. We loved it!

Great hike! A little bit of Shaker history to learn about along the way. Signage was a bit unclear especially when hiking in clockwise on the loop.

Had a pretty good experience with my 15 yr old daughter today. Some steep areas. Seemed more up hill than anything. Pretty well marked with the green arrows that are shown at entrance of trail. I was nervous about how well it was going to be marked by other comments on here but had zero issues at all, markers atleast every 50 feet or so. If you take the loop backwards there are little to no markers.

After the recent rains there is a little more mud and more puddles but the trail is still pretty good.

I don’t feel I can quite rate the actual trail, because of my experience. The trails aren’t really well marked and we were really lost in the middle of woods. I didn’t get a chance to see the waterfalls, but I did walk through some rivers and got some quite time in nature which is always well served. I’d recommend you go well prepared for bugs, and have a downloaded map of the trail.

Easy hike but no interesting views. Might be better in the winter.
