This trail is a trek over impressive sand dunes to the beach. Walking up and down the sandy dunes can be fairly challenging especially on a hot day but you'll be able to cool off with a swim once you reach the beach across the dunes. This is a great hike for kids to get an up-close view of the sand dune ecosystem on Cape Cod!
Great trail! Just be prepared because walking steep sandy inclines is difficult. Bring water and pace yourself for the steep parts. Absolutely worth it though! I went in late January so I only came across a handful of people. Very peaceful and beautiful!
What a beautiful hike!!! Strenuous but simply gorgeous! Swarms of swallowtails entertained us! Bring a camera and water .
well worth the walk
great if you want to know what Moses felt like in the desert
The sand dunes provide a fascinating and unique ecosystem. Very cool! You could easily imagine yourself on another planet.
Parking could be a bit of trouble in the busy summer months since the highway has no parking signs and only 3 spaces are designated for this trail. The beach may be quieter than other Cape Cod options since the only way to access it is by hiking in from Route 6.
