Beautiful woods, easy hike. Picked a loop that was reportedly dog friendly but came to a place where the trail crosses private property and dogs are not allowed so had to turn back

The first half of the trail is on the edge of the beautiful Nashua River that attracts many kayakers and people in canoes. Once you get to the out & back portion, the trail significantly narrows and is overgrown in many spots, yet still runs along the River. This part of the trail abruptly ends when you reach a tangle of downed trees and a swampy area. The return loop through Sabine Woods is nice and thick with vegetation. The sunny, warm day today brought many people out on the trail and I would say it’s heavily travelled but that may not always be the case. Parking is super easy - right off Rte 225 and in front of Groton Place - and there’s space for lots of cars.

It was pretty good. Not much mud. Bridges are challenging. But definitely recommended for kids or a nice walk.
