historic site

Plymouth County Hospital Meadows Trail is an unmarked trail located on the former site of Plymouth County Tuberculosis Hospital which was operational from 1919-1992 and was demolished in 2017. This trail starts off at the Hanson Community Garden located to the side of the Nurses Home Annex building. It leads down a paved access road and follows old patient walking trails out to some of the best preserved 1800's meadows in Plymouth County. The trail can get quite muddy and overgrown. There are NO signs or trail markers.

Nice and easy trail. This used to have a lot of architecture to see prior to the demolition of Plymouth County Hospital in 2017. Nonetheless, this trail follows the old walking paths of the tuberculosis patients as they would be out for walking to have fresh air. The trail leads out to some beautiful old meadows. It could use some signs and hopefully dedication as an official park once the town remediates the site.
