This 3.5 mile path will take you safely back from the Arnold Arboretum and Franklin Park to downtown Boston This guide shows you a quick and safe route via a bike/walking path from the Jamaica Plain Arnold Arboretum/Franklin Park area to downtown Boston. I'll be honest, the trail isn't as spectacular as the Emerald Necklace path but it is very well maintained, paved, and is almost a straight line mostly along T-tracks to downtown. Use this along with an Emerald Necklace Guide on this site for nice afternoon bike loop.
