this connects all the trails on moose hill farm. good long hike that isn't too hard, but has its ups and downs
Generally great for running most of the way was wide and not too rocky with some sections graveled. In December the highway noise is predominant, but is drowned out by the sound of the wind in the tall pines from time to time. The boardwalk sections are very nice. The most difficult section is Hobbs Hill loop. This section is narrow, rocky and steep and will ensure that you get your heart rate up on its two climbing sections. Just be sure to keep an eye on your footing!
Well groomed trail with lovely scenery, especially during fall. However, it's poorly marked and is broken up by paved roads. Not a trail you want to take if you want a secluded hike that allows you to feel fully immersed in nature. If you're into ethical farming and naturally sourced, grass fed meat and eggs then you should stop by.
Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful... If you follow my direction on the small loop at the end you get a nice gentle incline in the back of the small loop.. gets those legs pumping a bit. Beautiful views of Great Blue Hill and The Town to its left.
Really enjoyed the hike - first time walking under high-tension wires and found it to be oddly peaceful. Encountered very few people and all but one were considerate of COVID precautions. Trails are mostly wide enough to pass safely, or step off to accommodate. Some trail markers are missing - so I got a bit turned around. Will return to complete it correctly and hopeful see a cow.
Skipped Hobbs Hill for time but will definitely be back! This was an excellent walk!!!
Lovely shady wooded trail with lots of options for side spurs to tailor to what distance you want, and to avoid other hikers (who were few and far between). I feel like we could come back many times without repeating the same route. Some bugs on the Summit trail.
