Very well marked! However, the elevation is 485ft according to my watch. Great trail

Lots of roots sticking out of the ground, probably wouldn’t bring my grandma

Good trail for quick easy mileage, follows the pond as well as a cranberry bog for a short bit, most of the trail is well shaded in woods. Fairly crowded today w/bikers and NY’s day hikers!

A frequent trail for me! Nice distance and great views. Can be a little muddy if it’s just rained but not unavoidable. Starts with views of the pond and then goes into the woods a bit. Mostly shady. A fav of mine

Great for kids, mixed signage on dogs. Definitely take the opportunities to go off trail a bit for views.

Hello! I had high hopes for this journey with my dog today. This preserve on the whole is pristine with so much of nature’s artwork in tact. Truly an epic area of woods & marsh. The drawback... a dizzying and poorly marked set of trails. Worn tree blazes, no signage, and so many offshoot trails it’s often difficult to know which trail is the real trail you want. Add to that at least 3 “Trail Closed” signs which forced me off Route. I’m a seasoned hiker with more than 3,000 miles under my belt. I navigated ok. But if you don’t know where you are going or your electronic device dies on you....finding your way out may be interesting. I began at the Mayflower St entrance to North Hill Marsh. I’m not giving up on this beautiful area and will try another entry point. Also, no maps at the entry.

My favorite trails in the Plymouth area. West and north sides run along the edge of the pond and have nice views. All trails well marked. Go to Duxbury Conservation Commission map online to guide you to the 1623 Pilgrim trail just a little off this loop. Lots of history here. On east side plenty of wide, dry, easy trails along upland. Very pleasant walking.

Nice, easy trail with a few hills involved. Not much access to the pond but i did find an area for the dogs to take a dip. Didn’t see many people on the trail. Bring bug spray!
