Nice little walk. There are two parking lots, the directions on here lead you to the boat parking lot (which makes it a longer walk to the lighthouse). There is a lot closer to the lighthouse that you can find easily on Google Maps. (I forget the name of the street it is on) We got lucky and went there at low tide so we were able to hop off trail and go out to the lighthouse. If you want to walk up to the lighthouse make sure you go at low tide or you won't be able to get out there without going in some water. It was a beautiful walk! We even saw some Fiddler Crabs out and playing. Came across a local while there who said that the island the lighthouse is on is known for drug use. I didn't notice anything while there, but keep an eye out if you have kids or pets!

I usually walk down near the end of the hurricane barrier and if it's low tide I'll cross over to Palmers island and loop it, cool lighthouse.

Fabulous views across the harbor to Sconticut Neck. Ferries, fishing and pleasure boats coming and going from harbor. Sea birds of all kinds. Palmer Island accessible at low tide. Butler Flats and Palmer Island lighthouse views
