Quick climb (60-90 min round trip) from the Reservation Rd. trailhead. This is an out and back hike, entirely on the Robert Frost trail (orange blazes). The hike is forested, but there is a view from the lookout tower. Possible side trip to Sunderland Caves. Many garter snakes, so step carefully.

Had a lot of fun. My little pup had a blast too. Beautiful scenery and awesome little streams and brooks, though the water wasn't really flowing, maybe earlier in the year. Squirrels can be heard above as insects sing there song. As we were on our way down we could hear the owls. Tower has awesome 360 view, you can't get into lookout on top. A couple parts are steep and quite rocky.

Good trail, well marked almost all the time, and well maintained. Was a bit muddy today, but it rained a lot yesterday. The fire tower at the top has great views of the valley and the CT River. Parking wasn't an issue.
