Pleasant bike path. Very easy, with trees and shade. A bit crowded in the late afternoon.

Mostly flat but I definitely felt the incline on the way back toward Alewife! Mostly okay for social distancing, but surprisingly crowded at times.

Biked from Alewife to Lexington, and lots of folks biking and walking even on a Friday. Well maintained but signposts are all gone the first few miles from Alewife with mile marker info.

Great bike ride pretty flat. A few nice spots, spy pond, Arlington meadows and some creeks. If you start in Arlington stop by kickstand cafe for Vietnamese rolls, muffins, hot cider, coffee etc. bike friendly, great vibe. End of rail trail in Bedford has bike enabled clean rest room, tools, the rail shop and a bike shop. Stop by town centers on the way.

Lots of traffic most of the time, but wide lanes make it fairly easy to pass slower users. Many parks and nature observation areas to enjoy along the main trail. Long, gentle grades; beautiful scenery; great people-watching; ideal for commuters.
