Covered this portion in a recent long day hike/run...
pros...quiet trail...i didnt encounter another person on the trail the whole day, which was around 25 miles..nice shelters(though not evenly spaced out), a lot of really narrow beautiful trails winding thru the thick forest, plenty of water sources(if treatement ia your thing)...trail reasonably marked
cons....a bit redundant at times....and the trail does a lot of sections thru roads, which while nice...waamt really what i was looking for.

I hiked mid august on a wet year. The trail was so over grown ans closed in it was claustrophobic. More than a few spots you can easily lose it. All in all i may attempy as a winter hike, but the trail was like hiking in mirkwood mid summer.
