This is stage 5 of a section hike of the Midstate Trail. The first bit of the hike from the Northside School to Stafford Road is through a nice historic district. In an open area at the intersection of northside road and Stafford Road, there's a plaque for the person who first demonstrated anesthesia in the modern age, along with various other historic markers. But after that, the real hike begins.  The trip is about 50% asphalt road-walking, but still quite enjoyable. There are no large altitude changes, but the trail blazing for the first mile or so is a bit weak.
