Middlesex Community College Trail to St. Theresa Pond is a 2.7 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Billerica, Massachusetts that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
This trail is a hot mess and needs some TLC. One of the bridges around the pond is flooded so you can't follow that route around the pond. Then the trail just disappears in the southern portion of it. The planned route definitely need to be adjusted and the trail needs to be better maintained.
Do not recommend this trail. Had potential to be great with lots of up/down, creek crossings and minor rock scrambles. BUT: -Footpaths and deer trails run rampant, and lack of trail blazers and poor trail maintenance throughout a majority of the woodlands makes it next to impossible to stay on proper route even with a trail map. -Parking is only available in the furthest lot on campus from the designated trail-head (according to the app), although we managed to find another entrance. -Half of the trail was underwater, bridges included. -Trash scattered about as trail loops closer to highway. MCC should consider fixing up a few things and maybe I’d recommend or consider returning.
