This trail is a hot mess and needs some TLC. One of the bridges around the pond is flooded so you can't follow that route around the pond. Then the trail just disappears in the southern portion of it. The planned route definitely need to be adjusted and the trail needs to be better maintained.

This trail is no longer a loop due to beaver activity. I suggest following the route until you reach the beaver dam then turn back. Saw a pine snake, chipmunk, cardinal, blue heron and teaberry.

This trail was nice but some parts were flooded, including one bridge. Should be better marked. Lots of bugs by the pond. Use big spray. We saw lots of chipmunks, a blue heron and a snake. My 4 yr old was thrilled about that.

Do not recommend this trail. Had potential to be great with lots of up/down, creek crossings and minor rock scrambles. BUT: -Footpaths and deer trails run rampant, and lack of trail blazers and poor trail maintenance throughout a majority of the woodlands makes it next to impossible to stay on proper route even with a trail map. -Parking is only available in the furthest lot on campus from the designated trail-head (according to the app), although we managed to find another entrance. -Half of the trail was underwater, bridges included. -Trash scattered about as trail loops closer to highway. MCC should consider fixing up a few things and maybe I’d recommend or consider returning.

Would have been pretty good if part of the trail wasn’t under water.
