Memorial Trail via H. Newman Marsh Trail is a 2.2 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Chester, Massachusetts that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is best used from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

The route shown here is a quick climb up to some sweeping vistas along the Memorial Trail. There are other trails and sights including the Sanderson Brook Falls in this area, if you wish to extend your hike.

one of my favorite climbs!! steep yet tolerable climb to Observation Hill on well marked trail to epic views of the Westfield River Valley!!

GPS is way off on tracking our pathway up the hill. We came down the exact same trail as we went up, no switchbacks.
