My first 3-star review, I give most everything 5-stars. The problem with this property is three-fold. First, you run down one of the main drags and end up on Route 128. Second, you can't make a decent loop hike in here since the Shuttleworth side (over by the school) is behind marshland. Three, one of the main trails in the middle of the property (off Sandy Valley Road on the south side) is the Westwood sewer line and quite muddy. You can still have a nice run in here but this is likely my last.

My birthday run through the Lowell Woods! Parked on Fox Meadow Drive and headed west to Grimm Conservation area. Headed north from there to check out Rt128 (exciting!) and the hills over that way. A nice property, plenty of animal tracks everywhere. Went over to Shuttleworth and the school before bushwacking back thru the Mulvehill watershed area that was solid as a rock! Can't do this in the summer!! A nice place but sometimes feels a bit small with the homes in view frequently. Worth a visit however. Enjoy!
