Kennedy Pond Loop Trail is a 1.6 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Westford, Massachusetts that features a river. The trail is rated as moderate and is primarily used for hiking, walking, running, nature trips, and horses. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Trail is heavily traveled. Some trails worn down over 6 inches. More park like. Some areas are wildlife protected so no horses or dogs. Might be better option if you dont have a dog. Great for kids, many children out on a cold day. Sadly, many off leash dogs. Fine if it had not been so popular. Great for people wanting to take a walk but if you are a true hiker would avoid.
Great easy hike with no crowds (passed 4 people + 1 dog in 2 hours). Several scenic views of the pond. Watch out for gifts left by horses.
really rad spot. some elevation change, very wooded, there’s a pond!
