The trail is paved about half way. We started out with bikes for the kids and at some points they had to walk their bikes.

This was my first time out there. You could easily take 2-3 walks around the pond. Had good parking and was easy to find. Like others have said there were several very large "puddles" that you had to carefully walk around. On the map they were near Edgewater and Hancock Street. I actually walked off the path and went up through some powerlines until I got to a residential area and turned around. I did see a snake though.

Trail loops around a small pond. First half is tar, second half is dirt (a little muddy this time of year with large puddles). Wear shoes you are okay with getting dirty! Nice trail for a short walk & for families.

This is a great trail for dogs and short walks. It's half paved and half not, with a nice view of the water. My only complaint is that a small portion of the trail is always muddy and hard to get past where cars have worn in deep tire marks. If it's rained recently, I usually turn around after the sandy area ends and go back instead of making the loop.

Nice short trail. Halfway paved, halfway trail. Low areas on trail half were flooded due to recent rains, but it was just passable on the sides of the ponding. Beautiful scenery, plenty of wildlife.

It was easy short walk, with decent views of the pond. There were people fishing quietly, it felt fairly secluded although you could hear lots of people cheering and laughing from the nearby baseball field.
