Note: The term squaw is considered universally offensive by Indigenous groups in America due to its use for hundreds of years in a derogatory context. Indigenous activists have continued to work both locally and in more general educational efforts, to rename the locations across North America that contain the slur, as well as to eliminate the slur from the lexicon in general. Lovely trail with some very impressive views. Would recommend spikes at the moment! Note that parking costs $5 and can be paid for with the machine in the parking lot.

Not too mobbed on Valentine’s Day! Took yellow up, red across, then came back the long way via blue. Great views at the top; only a little scary for those of us afraid of heights!

my sons and I went on 1/23 the trail is typical of northest trails in winter. Trail spikes and trekking poles will help but are not necessary yet. We were so lucky with the weather sunny and views for miles from the summit. Trails are well marked and it's a loop so getting lost is virtually impossible. Layer up and enjoy the trail!!

Lovely winter trail, fairly easy until you get near the top. We had yak tracks on which helped when it got slippery.

Great winter hike and surprising views! A little steep at times and a little icy today but I think it’s manageable in hiking boots.

For a smallish Trustees reservation this mountain offers some decent rock outcroppings and scrambles and lovely views, and some steep sections. The Squaw Peak trail is very scenic, and Hickey is very steep.
