Hermit Cave Loop is a 4 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Erving, Massachusetts that features a cave and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, trail running, and nature trips and is best used from April until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

first hike here was a 75 degree February day. it was murky at parts, but totally enjoyable. The descent/ascent down and back to the cave was a bit tough for my 11 year old, but we made it. will be back!

The southern part of the loop (blue blazes) goes to the Hermit Cave and some other nice rock formations. The rest of the trail is a piece of the M&M Trail (Metacomet & Monadnock) with white blazes and has some great views. Especially nice in the fall.
