Great loop with moderate elevation gains. Very well marked, but a little confusing at some trail junctions. Mostly stay on Backpacker and Bear Paw with a few exceptions.

Well labeled and easy trail in the beautiful fall weather. We saw ducks, geese, a woodpecker, as well as reddish squirrels and chipmunks.

Easy to moderate trail on north side of Callahan. Nice, pleasant place to spend an hour or two. There are lots of side trails and loops that can be added to increase length of hike.
