This is a beautiful historic island that is accessible via ferry during the summer. The island plays host to Fort Warren, an interesting relic of the American Civil War.

We had a great day exploring the fort. We Took the ferry over and had a drink on the way. It’s a self guided tour of the fort and grounds. There was a baseball game being played with players wearing old fashioned uniforms. You’re free To walk around and explore however long you like. There’s an a cafe and bathrooms. It was an awesome little day adventure
