-most of the elevation gains are near the beginning. rest of the trail is relatively flat. -there are marks most of the trail but few turns maybe confusing if not paying attention. -not much to see in term of scenery.

VERY interesting and fun experience! Great trail system, lots of trails to choose from. You can be out there for hours if you want. Trails range from flat to steep inclines and there's an ok view of the Boston skyline at one point. Now the fun part. If you follow the Alltrails map and take the Tower trail it will eventually take you to a residential road before going back on trail. Upon entering this road someone decided to literally unleash the hounds. I initially kept walking and ignored them, but they decided to give chase and charge. I grew up around dogs so it added to the adventure for me. Their dogs were literally all bark, zero bite. I just stood my ground. I was in a confrontational mood so I made a charging motion towards them said Go Home loudly and they ended up running away 20 or so feet and just barking. No idea who owns them but it's a lawsuit waiting to happen if they actually do attack anyone. Just wanted to give a headsup to other hikers if they are dog phobic.

Excellent trail system. Well maintained and well marked. As reviewers have noted it is a bit tough to follow inside the scout camp as there are many cross trails. Once through the camp the markings are good. Fords folly is a great spur to take. A nice side diversion. The story behind the folly must be a good one. Only on roads for a little bit. Otherwise well maintained trails. Recommended trail. No other one on the trail today, though it rained most of the time.

The highlight of this trail is Nobscot Hill. There’s a nice elevation gain and the trail isn’t too easy nor too hard. The descent is on a paved residential street - Brimstone Lane. I took the advice I read in another hiker’s review and took the Bay Circuit Trail to the top on the way back (because this is an out & back trail) which was much nicer. Parking is easy and in a big lot by the Boy Scout camp right off Nobscot Rd.

HikingGreat!

I like this trail. Not usually a fan of out-and-back but there are many sidetrails that you can do so don't really retrace the trail too much. Only saw 2 people on the trail today which was great despite being a Sunday between 10AM and 12:15 (Aug 2, 2020) we would have done more side trails but I was running low on water b/c there was no water on the trail for my dog -- all the streams were dried up. the first 1/4 mile goes through the boy scout camp which is boring but the rest of the trail is nice and mostly green tunnel.

HikingGreat!

A great trail. Mix of both steep and no inclines. Only deficiency is that you don’t have good view points to see. Except for one. Where in you can see the Boston skyline. Never the less a nice hike. Lots of flora and fauna.

First to Review

Hike was ok. However, there were more unfriendly people than friendly on the trail which made the experience unpleasant. I most likely will not be doing this hike again anytime soon.
