In the early spring you can find vernal pools and evidence of amphibian breeding. As the season progresses, you can find many wildflowers, including wild columbine and various kinds of violets, lady slippers, and jack-in-the-pulpits. Youll also find many ferns, mosses and club mosses here, which flourish in a cool, acidic environment. A hemlock maple forest provides shelter for a variety of woodland birds such as the Winter Wren, Scarlet Tanager and Broad-winged Hawk.

certainly lots of trails there and seems like a great place for mountain bike. However tons of bugs swarming you and the water was more like swamp water not a great place to walk your dogs.

A great trail to explore. Beautiful and very peaceful with lots of varied terrain. Lots of side paths and trails to venture out onto. Bring a LOT of bug spray though.
