Beautiful views and easy hike. We did it during the winter month. There are about 3 narrow places where you have to watch out for prickers snagging your jacket. We saw about 20+ fishermen.

A great hike with great views. Hiking sandals would be a best choice as the trail is muddy and washed out in some areas.

A fun hike if you commit to getting your feet wet. But with that said, a nice way to see a glacial kettle pond and a few glacial erratics (boulders)

Nice trail along the shore but was underwater in long stretches. Bring a towel so you can swim at the halfway mark. Hiking sandals would be the best footwear. Trail could use some brush cut back as it is overgrown in spots.

I fell in love with the Nickerson Park on my July 2018 trip. This trail is deep into the park. I walked halfway through the trail by the pond before I layer down on the sandy “beach” and went for a swim. There were a lot of sections where the water was high and my shoes got wer/muddy. On my way out of the park I got lost but it was fun.

Nice trail, but the high water level rendered a good part of the trail pretty hard

Beautiful pond-side trail with plentiful water access made challenging by the high water level covering dozens of trail segments. Required many side-trail bypasses and waterproof boots to complete. Would certainly hike again in better conditions to enjoy the pond lapping against the edge of the sandy, forested path, but seemed many segments might be under water for a while. For most, would recommend alternate trails in Nickerson at this time in March 2019 - unless you enjoy a challenge and feel relatively tick-proof!

A longer version with a deeper in the park start point...

wonderful trail...one of my favorite hikes with aqua water and endless beachy nooks to take a dip in. look forward to returning every time we come to the Cape!

This was one of the best hikes I have ever done. Bring a towel and wear your bikini so you can take a dip. Some of the trail was submerged but don’t let that deter you bc there were alternative routes (or just tough it out and walk through the shallows). This was one of the highlights of my summer!

We hiked the loop around the pond with our 4 and 1 year old kids. Relatively well marked, and lots off short off shoots that you can explore if you have time. Beautiful and quiet beaches along the way, with crystal clear water. Definitely bring your bathing suits, as you'll want to jump in.

Probably the best trail at Nickerson. The pond itself is beautiful and the clear water is reminiscent of a tropical ocean. There are many great spots to take in the view. The trail can be tight at times and the bushes could use a trim in spots. The trail shown on the map goes around the top of Grassy Knob but there is a very short side trail that goes over it, which I would recommend. It's the highest point in the area and has great views. For the most part the trail is empty, you may see a few kayakers on the water. You are also far from roads so this is a great hike for those who love being alone in nature.

Nice, quiet trail in the middle of Nickerson State Park in Brewster, MA. It is well-marked and has lots of great scenery throughout the nearly 3 miles of trail. Several opportunities to jump in the water for a private swim or to have a picnic lunch. Be prepared to walk in some sand, as many places on the trail require traversing a sandy beach. It's late August so we are well into prime growing season and in some places the trail was slightly overgrown, but generally it was extremely well-maintained. A quiet oasis in the middle of busy Cape Cod.

Beautiful views and wildlife . Lots of fish, birds, frogs and turtles. Easy hike but also very enjoyable. Our gps took us the dirt road route which states " not accessible to park" but it is , only attempt with 4x4. Large parking lot

Nice trail. Many sandy beaches along the trail, so small parts of the trail on the sand. From other side, you can swim in the middle of the trail.
