Great views & it would be the perfect trail if it was maintained. There were many stretches of overgrown or flooded areas that we had to create our own trail through thick brush with thorns. Often we had to traverse a steep sandy patch that was difficult to get a foothold. Beautiful walk but only go if you’re in for some adventure and tricky terrain.

This was a good hike of varied terrain - some wooded trails, some sandy beaches. Some sections of the trail are in need of some maintenance or rerouting since parts were under water Lots of places to take a swim too. There is a parking fee at the Nickerson State Park but since I bought the DCR annual parking pass it didn't cost me

It’s ranked as easy but in my opinion it was moderate. A lot of it was washed out leaving you on paths through thick brush and steep sandy terrain.

A lot of the trail is washed out. It was very well marked when possible.

Very quiet and scenic currently- I only saw one other person. Many parts of the trail were flooded which required scrambling up and down sandy banks through brush. Overall, I still enjoyed it, but you cannot easily walk the loop and will need to be creative in some parts to avoid getting muddy.

The paths are really poorly maintained, be prepared to walk through the mud and scramble through branches. Also beware of bugs and ticks.

Beautiful trail. We combined this with Little Cliff Pond Trail. We loved it! You always have a water view, yet protected by the wind. We went in April, and the water table was high, so had to do some maneuvering around some parts, but a very enjoyable 4-5 mile hike in a beautiful environment. I would come back & do it again.
