Honestly, if this was the summer it’d be a great biking trail. But the canal trail is long and, quite frankly, very ugly. The trail is bland with minimal landmarks to enjoy yourself. Wish I couldn’t been more positive but I did not enjoy myself.
Excellent trail, by the canal. Late September, we saw seals being playful in the canal, twice one jump out of the water and splashed, you have to be quick to see it. A couple of nice parks for kids along the way.

Easy paved road with bathrooms along the way links Bourne and sagamore
Nice for a breezy walk, roller blade, bike ride or dog walk. Beautiful watching birds and boats. Friendly people, love watching the old seadogs fish alongside the canal. Very much peaceful in winter.

Amazing walk and bike ride trail. beautiful sights not busy at all...they even have a dog stop for drinking. Nice breeze and a nice dock area.

Good place to hike and bike.
Clean, organized, peaceful great showers there is also laundry and a little convenient store with great ice cream. The pools are clean but the canal trail is the jewel of the whole place. A huge grocery store not to far from the camp and the beach is minutes away. After over 10yrs of camping there with a tent, an suv a large camper with two dogs and two kids there is always something new to see . Love it!
Ticks in the summer. Great walking, biking, running, etc. great for dogs / kids / anyone. You’ll see wildlife and some interesting boats. Lots of different places to park and walk so you see something new all the time.
Great view, great to do with the family.
awesome ride to the beach and back. went off route couple times to check things out. Great campground along the way.
It’s a nice place to fish, walk your dog, ride a bike or walk! Nice and safe!

great paved path to walk or bicycle, watch the boats... also can fish, picnic or just sit with a good book. love it.
My kids like to bike/scooter here. It's a great scenic place to train for the 39.3mi Avon Walk for Breast Cancer!
beautiful bridges, nice walking path 7 miles one way...i posted a map best parking at the ends of the trail...the sandcatcher recreation area is a visitors center that leads to the beach with bathrooms, nearby restraunts, and an ice cream shop (cash only). The tidal flats parking is only a parking lot but parks directly beside the first bridge and is a short walk maybe a mile to the second bridge.
Very Family friendly trail!
Easy parking access.Great for sunset walks, dog walks roller blading with the family.
Lots of "Farside" characters
Great trail for walking, running, biking, fishing... While I was running I saw some beautiful birds and fish in and on the water. You also pass by the Aptucxet museum that has flowers, a boat, a house and art gallery. There's restrooms at the visitor center on the trail. Great for all levels.
nature trail was pretty cool with all the informational stops along the way hills and curves which made it more interesting. never finished the canal but plan to this summer
Sunset was beautiful
awsome
Beautiful day. cold wind, nice flat trail for an easy walk.
Good place for a walk. Boats traveling the canal can be a great show. This is also one of my favorite bike trails because there are virtually no hills. Can be a little on the busy side but rarely over crowded.
The canal is always great! We usually just walk it so we've never been all the way to the other end but there's always a nice breeze and great scenery.
Pros~ smooth wide pavement, ocean water, great to watch boats, clean bathrooms at Buzzards Bay entrance, easy & relaxing. Cons~ boring scenery, too mundane for me, not much of a challenge. I probably won't do this ride again except if I went with a group of people to help make it more excitable.
This is a longboarder's paradise. Riding on this is like riding on a cloud!
great for bicycling, fishing, roller blade, walking or relaxing. I love just watching the boats on a hot day Camping is near by, on either side of the canal
Great trail ..ride my bike down and back trip its about a 13 mile ride..easy flat surface very relaxing and enjoyable love being from the cape
Enjoyable paved trail, very relaxing, great scenery. I do this with my meetup group and it is enjoyed. Last year we biked both sides of the canal and crossed the bridges but this year we only did one side. Not too far from Boston for a day trip and make sure you get some seafood :)
