Loved the versatility of hiking in the back woodsy area and the canal path. Great hike! Definitely lots of poison ivy. Stopped along way at campground store for a drink.

Road bikingNo shade

Very sunny, warm and windy (one way) the day we went. It is not the most scenic bikeway on Cape Cod. We were confused about the parking in Sandwich. If you park at the actual Visitors Center, you need to back track around the marina to get to the head of the trail.

It’s definitely gotten overgrown since I was here in the spring. Lots of poison ivy along the trail also. The best thing really is that there’s hardly anyone else on it

Wonderful trail! Not a lot of people (weekday). I love to come to walk, to help ease the stresses of current times. Most people friendly, share ‘good mornings’. All in all it’s a clean, paved path, in great condition, and you can get lost in the peacefulness. You can be part of nature, watching the cormorants dive for fish, the sea gulls fly overhead and the seals play with each other.

I am a novice biker, recently relearning. Such a beautiful day. Not too crowded. 80 degrees and cool ocean wind. I completed the entire path via bicycle I found it a little strenuous as I am getting use to shifting gears on inclines Social distancing was present. I went on a weekday. Walkers, runners rollerbladers and cyclists all sharing the road The water is so clean. Go during the week

Nice trail. Prepare for a workout going slightly uphill and headwind as you bike from Sagamore to Borne. On the way back, it’s a peace of cake. All downhill almost no biking. Parking is VERY BUSY.

Very scenic walk on both sides of the canal - cape side a bit less busy. Crowded at times with groups who take up the whole path. Watch for children on bikes.

Gorgeous day along the canal. Bourne to Railroad bridge is fully paved, easy for strollers, bikes, runners, 3mi round trip.

WalkingNo shade

A Very well-maintained trail, uses to cycle it from home 9 miles away, and smtms made 2 runs. I Went to Walk much of it from the start at Buzzards bay - but at the 5.0 mile point 2 hrs later, decided not to push further, so as not to jeopardize my completion. Good thing, because, the boots I had weren't suited to that, causing extreme pain when I returned. While it was moderately crowded, everyone was well-spaced out & atypically thotful of others! Will return after my feet heal, & try to do the full 7x2 miles! Half the parking lot was full at 10;45AM when I started! People were pretty good about bagging their dogs' waste, BUT Flunked for not carrying it out. What happened to 'leave no trace'? At least they 'left no SMELL' ! :)

Honestly, if this was the summer it’d be a great biking trail. But the canal trail is long and, quite frankly, very ugly. The trail is bland with minimal landmarks to enjoy yourself. Wish I couldn’t been more positive but I did not enjoy myself.

Excellent trail, by the canal. Late September, we saw seals being playful in the canal, twice one jump out of the water and splashed, you have to be quick to see it. A couple of nice parks for kids along the way.

Nice for a breezy walk, roller blade, bike ride or dog walk. Beautiful watching birds and boats. Friendly people, love watching the old seadogs fish alongside the canal. Very much peaceful in winter.

Clean, organized, peaceful great showers there is also laundry and a little convenient store with great ice cream. The pools are clean but the canal trail is the jewel of the whole place. A huge grocery store not to far from the camp and the beach is minutes away. After over 10yrs of camping there with a tent, an suv a large camper with two dogs and two kids there is always something new to see . Love it!
