Marked with blue blazes and easy to follow, the Busby Trail takes you through dark spruce plantations, deep hardwood forests, and wildflower fields then past (possibly haunted) cellar holes, to Spruce Hill which has spectacular, almost 360 degree views from its summit.

Great hike, especially for kids. Easy for the first mile, then a moderate uphill to get to the overlook. Crossed a few streams with some small waterfalls. Nice view of North Adams and Adams at the top.

Perfect trail for a hike after work or on a limited time frame on weekends. Perfect for solo hiking with dogs. The trail is typically well maintained, but can get (and stay) very muddy for the first quarter mile because of heavy tree cover. There are some interesting historic foundations from earlier settlements. Gorgeous views of the Hoosac Valley once you reach Spruce Hill

This is my favorite trail for when I want a quick hike in the woods. Mostly easy, but it gets steep and rocky at the final 500ft or so. The view at Spruce Hill/Hawk Lookout is spectacular, and a great spot to picnic.
