10.11.19. Lovely, straightforward trail. Kicks off at the parking lot with a wonderful view (Olivia’s Overlook). The lot gets crowded but the trails are almost empty. I walked most of the trail system on the other side of the road from the lot, including the two mini loops off the main loop. I started clockwise on the Burbank trail and then headed to Reservoir Road before doubling back and taking the Old Baldhead trail. On reaching the rather spooky pond, I rejoined the Burbank trail, this time counter clockwise, and headed back to the lot. Then a short out and back on the Charcoal trail just to see what was there. If you’re interested in this combo, here are my stats: Distance: 7.1 miles Elevation Gain: 1,362 feet Moving Time: 2:28:28

Beautiful hike and only one other hiker this am.

This was an excellent hike for having puppies along. Great views with a laid-back atmosphere, and a nice little pond about halfway to relax at.

Trail well maintained, trail running is common, in both summer and winter. Enjoy one of the Berkshire’s many day hikes.

OCR training. Wife and I run an OCR team called Bootcamp Junkies OCR. Decided to posted about train runs we have done so others in training can see then posts. This was a solid run. Mostly shade with only a few spots the sun broke through. The trail was fun, lots of foot obstacles like constant rocks and roots. Definitely got our hearts pumping on the inclines. Good for intermediate conditioning when you don’t have a lot of time. It’s about a 35-40 minute run.

Nice trail; glad we wore our yaktraks - made the steeper places easier to navigate. We found the trail markers to be clear, plus there are maps available at the start

Perfect hike for anyone. It has some steep but some great views and a nice pine forest. Tons of mushrooms!

Relatively easy with a few steep places. Poorly signed- all trails are same color! Vista is NOT marked on the trail. They need to use the trail standards for colors. Careful of the intersections. They can easily be missed. Well maintained.

One good view, but a good workout on a relatively short loop. Not many wildflowers.

This trail is fairly well marked and maintained. There were a lot of beautiful natural features as well as nicely-placed man-made "helps" (i.e., logs placed in areas that are muddy during the Spring/early Summer). My one suggestion, though, is that you print a trail map and bring it along (https://www.bnrc.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/YokunRidgeN_TrailMap.pdf), as there are lots of intersections that can cause confusion (hence my posting that the trail is "fairly" well marked -- there could have been better signage at intersections).
