11.10.19. Always a pleasure to walk around this pond. This time, we extended this easy hike, just a little, by going clockwise and adding the Mt Wilcox trail to the Pond Loop. Distance: 2.2 miles Elevation Gain: 157 feet Moving Time: 0:51:58

Great hike! Trail is rocky and lots of exposed roots, so keep your eyes open. Beautiful lake views. Well marked.

Great fall day in late Sept. clear trail with interesting foot bridges. Was overall an ok stretch to let two year old hike along on her own two feet. Nearly no poison ivy to worry about - saw a small amount off to the side of path in one spot.

So great, super easy, about 50 min or so walking depending on your speed, but there are 2 nice benches to rest along the way. a great way to spend an afternoon. there is a parking fee.

Can’t say enough good things about this state forest. .. it had everything... beautiful lake and trail around with so much flora and fauna everywhere, pine needle laden paths, benches and tables, beautiful views at “the ledges” and “lookout” trails.. summit pond near the ledges and nice staircases leading there! And zero bugs today! Light breeze was beneficial for sure. Perfect for dogs! Took the park road north on my way out and it too was beautiful albeit in somewhat poor condition.. just go slow..

nice, though we couldn't complete the loop with an older, bigger dog as part of a boardwalk bridge is damaged and requires a leap.

Very nice afternoon winter walk. Trail is easy to follow, the snow is packed down. I even saw 2 beavers in the stream having a snack!

A good, flat, easy walk. 45 to 50 mins to complete the circuit around the gorgeous pond. In summer you’ll need to pay to park. Can be very icy in winter.

I live this trail. It’s a little bit of an investment of time, not your usual stroll in the park (pardon the pun). The pond adds a nice magic to it all.

Great for kids and dogs, not too much traffic. Had a 4, 6, 10 and 11 year old. Challenging but not too difficult for the little ones but interesting for the older kids.

Great morning for a short hike. Easy and beautiful.

Easy but long. Did it before work so I think I did half of the pond loop. Going this year to do before winter with my two true friends of mine and my husband. He used to do lots of hikes in boyscouts eagle scout. My husband Brian Durwin loves hikes like me.
