This is another hike in the Callahan State Park. This area of the park is more 'wilderness' trails. They tend to be narrower trails with steeper and rockier sections. Overall, still fairly easy hiking. There are several trails criss-crossing the area, all fairly well-marked, however trail names are often difficult to find. There are a few maps located along the trails to help orientation. Beebe pond as well as the meadow above the pond are very picturesque. The small church building appears to be on a short section of private property, although the section is not marked as such. There are several other trails that will by-pass this section.

Very enjoyable hike, the trail crosses steep hills, mellow valleys, meadow forests and more. All in just 3 miles. Beebe pond is a beautiful and quiet spot. There are almost never any people on the trails in this part of Callahan, making it a great place to be alone with nature. Be sure to bring bug spray. Turn your AllTrails tracker on because the trails beyond Beebe pond are not always marked and it can be easy to wander in the wrong direction.
