Beaver Brook North Reservation is a 2.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Waltham, Massachusetts that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from May until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Leafy underfoot made it slippery, but otherwise beautiful. Everyone was thoughtful and considerate.
A very nice and relatively easy hiking park very close to the city. If you start out from the parking lot just off Trapelo Road, you’re immediately faced with a brisk uphill climb culminating at the water tower at the summit. From there the trails are in very good shape with only a few patches of rocks and tree roots.
Quick loop, maybe 10-15 min. Great for after work, and has lots of hard and technical parts to satisfy your needs. It’s really fun, and you can on it 2, 3 or even 4 times in a row!
Took our 4 month old golden retriever. It was perfect for him. Just far enough to tire him out with some hills and different terrains.
Narrow paths at time with lots of poison ivy. Would only recommend wearing pants on these trails and long sleeves.
Lots of poison ivy along the trail, be careful. Leaves of 3, let them be!
Good cross country style biking and trail running. Great place for beginners and with kids. Like many trails around here the idea that dogs must be kept on a leash is completely ignored by nearly everyone. I didn’t roll through or step in any dog feces this time out which is a bonus. This trail set links up with a longer and more difficult out and back ride or run on the western greenway.
aug 10/2019, 4pm hike - path is nice, but OMG THE GNATS. my arms got worked out as much as my legs from constantly swiping at gnats. my dog's face was also constantly barraged by them. I even encountered a lady who wore a net hat , so I'm assuming it's common for this place. probably wont come back because of the bugs. there is a lot of still water here as well.
