Parked in the small lot. First section was quiet and nice. But as I continued, found so many treats! Quary rocks, beautiful streams, hills and interesting terrain, well-marked trails and maps placed at trail heads, and even fun gnomes in hollow tree trunks and old timey cars!
Awesome trail! Really well maintained and marked. Starts off slow but a few miles in the trinkets of the forest begin to reveal themselves! If you know where to look, surprises are everywhere. Try and find the gnomes guarding the stream!
Nice trail, narrow and tricky to let people pass. Very good place if you want to be immersed in nature!
Really well marked, nice and dry, but the scenery does not vary. No colors to see but a pleasant trail for sure.
Very nice, fairly flat trail in good condition, had to turn back early due to twisted ankle but will return for sure.
Nice trail. Well marked, clean, and quiet. Has a little bit of everything, there are parts that could be used for trail running/jogging. Some parts are a little confusing but the map was good enough. Small sections were a bit eerie with strange wind patterns...hard to put into words. I did some extra side trails and it came out to a little over 7 miles. The abandoned cars were cool, they look like 50s models with the hard tops, seems like they've been there a while.
Pleasant. A couple large electric grid elements but mostly wooded; also well bridged
that was a very fun hike longer than my normal hikes but only cuz the 3to5 mile radius seems to have the level of difficulty suits me for now n harder to find easy enough for me trails that are 5 plus miles
Great spot for a hike, the smaller loop is exactly 3 miles if you don’t want to do 5.7. Trail was well kept, many bridges built for avoiding the mud. Not many people on the trail
